Fossils / Robert Ridley-Shackleton - Meta Cardboard (C30) £4

Straight from the gutters of magnetic tape damaged homes comes this beast. Fossils side has lots of shuffling and tape clutter with tonal bursts. Roberts side is kind of harsh with electronic wastland. For lovers of real tape music. Limited to 19 copies.

Non Ferric Memories / Robert Ridley-Shackleton – Horefans (CD-r Split) £4

Non Ferric Memories put every ounce of dementia into this cd, Some parts of their composition are truly beautiful and mystical like being caught between sleep and awake for a few hundred years. However this of course is flipped with some harsh stabs and hisses that keep us on our toes, This 30 minute long track pulses like crazy and is totally brilliant. The second part of the cd presents Robert telling the story of a pipe cleaner man who runs a shop. But this is only for a few seconds. The rest is totally junk noise, tape manipulation and all that jazz, the second track that Robert presents has rather ghostly voices and spirits creep about the magnetic tape as it chugs along. Both artists producing at their best.

Robert Ridley-Shackleton – Holes (12 page black and white zine) SOLD OUT

Funny zines. £1.50 each

Only for the severely warped sense of humour. A cloth owned by henry the forth that transforms into a killer mail box who hates the tv show friends. Robert Ridley-Shackleton / Kommissar Hjuler Und Frau – Big Sass (C58 Split) £4

The dream team known as the Hjuler’s present what sounds like a ritual, a sacrifice or a warning to aliens that life on earth is not good. Mama Baer at times sounds like she becomes possessed by the messages she is spewing out, all accompanied by Kommissar’s primitive guitar playing. It could have been recorded in the stone age, but we will never know. Robert’s side of the split uncovers worlds of hisses and spits of frequencies from the unknown that melt into minimal pop goo made with vocal loops and reversed charity shop tapes. Limited to 50 copies.

David K Frampton / Robert Ridley-Shackleton – Upside Down Cathedral (CD-R Split) £2

Frampton is what only can be described as the Christ child of all things ROCK. His style of rock however is extremely on its own in a world of guitar based music. His beats often are more dance/electronic. His guitars are noisy and ‘no wave’ in its abstract qualities. Inspired by classic rock and Grunge Frampton mutates his love for music into a weird nasty bastard. Roberts tracks from the split are also based on Rock but they steer more a grindcore style. However these sound nothing like grindcore or any rock, they are just inspired by. Instead the track mostly comprised of vocal loops that try to imitate guitars and instead sound like growls, accompanied by even more growls. Limited to 25 copies.

Robert Ridley-Shackleton / Kapali Carsi – Wet Dipole (C40 Split) £4

Kapali Carsi is a true underdog to the Avant-garde. His sounds are very minimal and austere. However what make KC so fresh is that his simple sounds can have serious tension and although sometimes deadly serious can seem very free, almost like a serious ‘art-brut’.  This split cassette is almost entirely focussed on microphones, which nearly dominates all of Kapali Carsi’s work and has also been a key concept through Robert’s work lately. Robert’s side of the tape is less tense and more crude and diseased.  This cassette is perfect for all your scrapping, bangs and breathing needs. Limited to 35 copies.

Robert Ridley-Shackleton – Light years of Sodom, God and Splat (C20) SOLD OUT

After having to go to hospital Robert returns with a heap of chaos from his mind straight to your ear holes.  This is true cacophony, everything’s present, vocals, junk electronics, synth, tape manipulation, loops, fear, highs, low’s, evil and good. Limited to 30 copies.

Robert Ridley-Shackleton – His Vile Voyage (Ugly Sister Ship) (3” cd-r maxi single) £4

The maxi single to accompany ‘Sex U Up’ expect lo-fi vocal pop in the same vein to ‘Sex U Up’ except this is more free and scarier. Very limited just 10 copies.

Robert Ridley-Shackleton – Sex U Up (C30) SOLD OUT

After last year’s attempts of pop stardom comes another thirty minute album from the “master of mangled pop”.  This was made after Robert was thrown out of his home, now armed with only looping cassettes and a telephone that he has circuit bent into a microphone.  He feels the need to make a new pop album dedicated to all things rude, hot and steamy. Everything you hear is entirely vocals. Although from the description it sounds minimal the result is pop at its darkest and weird. Limited to 30 copies. Also available as a Cd-r.

Robert Ridley-Shackleton – Fits of Pits and Luke Warm Pips (framed Collage) SOLD OUT

When the farmer fits from radiation poisoning he goes to the cellar door, opens it a jar and screams down to the pits. The Pits begin to tremble and cry. The farmer dives into the pits where he falls for 10 years through darkness before he comes to a light where he lands on the surface of a star. There is a fridge there where he picks out a mouldy apple that is dying rapidly. He removes the pips from the apple and he travels back out the pits. He’s on his way to plant the seeds to make six beautiful wives.  Framed collage with graph paper, packing paper, charcoal and pen.  Art work is virtually the same as pictured except its now missing the £2.50 price mark. Stuart Chalmers - Fantasia (cd-r) £6

Noise Veteran Chalmers returns with messy loops that build, distort and wreck your quiet evenings. Chalmers collects music and sounds from far and wide, in charity shops and on old mix-tapes, always manipulating his tapes to get the most dodgy compositions that never get boring. This self-released cd is quite different from the Blunders tape as it is more musical with snapshots of long gone pop idols in a slurry of gross loops. Must have!!!

Robert Ridley-Shackleton - Butternut Squash: Thunder Funk Party Remix (3"cd-r Maxi Single) £4

This little cd packs 10 recordings from the late great Foetus 502. Foetus 502 was the unborn form of Robert, who released over 30 albums in his reign. Sadly not many people heard these albums, because they are very scarce. Here are some recordings that never made the albums deemed to rubbish for disc. 502 died a terrible death of being shot, hung and exploded. But the foetus was born and became a person called Robert Ridley-Shackleton. Expect poor, ugly, pop music. With real attempts at pop stardom. Limited to 20 copies.

check out some dowloadable albums of Robby here:

Stuart Chalmers/Robert Ridley-Shackleton - Blunders (Split C52) £4

Blunders sports two contrasting sides of Noise. Stuart Chalmers concocts a splatter of junk-like found sounds that feel alot like a man tinkering away in his shed, with devastating loops that hit hard. Think old farmers working with a wheelbarrow stuck in a time loop.  Robert's side goes for a more crude, electronic feel, with sounds that pop and drift in and out of focus. Think synthetic damaged sun with green rain drops darkening through the tunnels.
