Robert Ridley-Shackleton / Team Phosphenes / Zebra Mu - Dust Lust (Single Sided C90 cassette) £4

Two of my best buds in the funky underground scene return for a split compilation of sorts.

I requested that computers weren't used in the process of creating the release. Instead of been sent a digital file to put to tape all artists created their tunes on tape all nicely dubbed. Its been a real thrill doing this the old fashioned way.

The tape kick starts with me (robert) making a vocal slurry that nearly rips through the tape clipping and juddering from intense volumes.

Team Phosphenes aka The Blue Spectrum has no name in this tape he simply is the piece. His efforts are more atmospheric and sombre, a drone of mashed and woven layers of almost harmonizing noise, The volume is quiet so you can really hear the tape working during its length.

then last but not least comes Zebra Mu. A more tonal but certainly not shy of being harsh, loud and abrasive goes back to the first track of nearly destroying ure kit but in a good way of course.

The tapes are presented as a single sided C90 tape with approx 30 minutes of noise.

Limited to 12 Copies

Posset / Robert Ridley-Shackleton - Untitled Split (Cdr) £4

Finally the dictaphone wizard comes coughing and spluttering his way to hissing frames hq. Posset is lofi of the highest order so fits in well here, Posset never fails to take you on a magic ride of his small and perfectly formed dicta-doom wizz pop splupper, true skronk dat.

My side (robert) is a textural affair of domestic junk recordings, fits in well as the disc becomes a trash sound art document in some ways. Limited to 12copies.

Velfaerd / Robert Ridley-Shackleton - Wind Damage (Mini Cdr) £4

Velfaerd kicks off things with a wave like din, that drifts in and out of your living arrangements, Its a wall but not like before. This young chap is one of my favourite noise artists that I have come across in my pursuit of finding harsh noise walls that make my senses go wild. The walls are not aggressive they create an electronic atmosphere that reminds me of being inside an old shed in the harsh winds, the air whistling through the cracks in the wood, and makes you feel as cold as ice. the walls create tension without the use of being "heavy" which is the usual go to motive of alot of wallers. My track as Robert is real damaged audio. Sounds like the mini cdr is getting broken and sparks are whirling around your hifi then the sound seems looped. A wall yes, but this wall can hardly keep standing.

Limited to 12 copies. Colour artwork.

Werewolf Jerusalem / Robert Ridley-Shackleton / She Walks Crooked - April Fools (Cdr) SOLD OUT

The first track is by a harsh noise wall king that we all know and love Richard Ramirez's Werewolf Jerusalem. This recording sounds like a roaring fire that we all stand around and join hands as it takes over us as the seconds tick on. Eventually we are the fire. My track is radio heavy harsh and junky. She Walk Crooked is a champion of releasing grade A releases on his label Petite Soles, his offering is the real obliterator of the three, sends you running home, but ya keep trippin on the way and uve hurt ure knees. Limited to 22 copies.
